The Observatories and Research Facilities for EUropean Seismology (Orfeus) in cooperation with the Institut d'Estudis Catalans (IEC), the Catalan Academy of Science, are pleased to announce that organisation of the 2008 Observatory Co-ordination meeting 2008 at the IEC headquarters, the old convalescense building in downtown Barcelona, from 5 to 8 May, 2008.

This meeting is intended for people involved in co-ordination and operation of networks/stations. Operation of the observatory, routine analysis of the data with special preference to operational broadband stations in the European- Mediterranean area key topics of the meeting. The main objective is to exchange experience, ideas and common problems and to coordinate new developments and exchange of waveform data in real time.

Station and network operators are encouraged to participate and present the status of the diverse seismic networks as well as specific developments and technicalities directed to increase the coordination of different European- Mediterranean institutions and the exchange of seismic data.
